Service restored for stranded internet users

07 August 2018

Wannabee blackmarket copper agents left local residents in Huntingdale, Gosnells and Southern River without telephone or internet connections for two weeks.

Telstra has since advised me that everyone living in Huntingdale, Gosnells and Southern River should now be reconnected as of this morning.

Telstra will be performing the final testing of the line on Wednesday morning and hopefully all services will be restored.

While I think Telstra could have communicated better with customers, I am relieved that customers are back online now after crews worked around the clock to get services restored. The vandals responsible have devastated our community in going about their daily lives and should be ashamed. I hope the police are successful in bringing them to justice.

If you live in Huntingdale, Gosnells or Southern River and are yet to be reconnected please contact Telstra as soon as possible on 13 22 00.
