SINCE BEING ELECTED AS BURT'S FEDERAL MP, MATT HAS SECURED FUNDING FOR A NUMBER OF VITAL PROJECTS INCLUDING: 

I've secured funding for:

  • Thornlie-Cockburn Link
    • Connecting the Mandurah and Armadale lines with two new stations at Nicholson Road and Ranford Road reducing congestion in our suburbs
  • Armadale Road Bridge
    • $237 million for a second bridge over the Kwinana freeway connecting Armadale Road with Northlake Road, easing congestion and improving access to Cockburn Central Station
  • Armadale Road Duplication
    • $145 million to upgrade 6.9km section of Armadale Road from Tapper to Anstey Road with intersection upgrades at Nicholson, Wright and Warton Roads with work to be completed by 2019. 
  • Fixing Denny Avenue
    • $69 million to remove the dangerous Denny Avenue level crossing in Kelmscott and replace it with an underpass at Davis Road. 
  • William Langford Renovations
    • $20,000 to complete the renovations of the William Langford Community House. 
  • Piara Waters Oval Safety Fence
    • $20,000 to make Piara Waters Oval safer for our kids and sporting clubs. 
  • Gosnells City Football 
    • $12,000 to upgrade Gosnells FC's lights to night match standard. 
  • AK Lions Santa Sleigh
    • $12,000 for a ute for the Armadale-Kelmscott Lions Santa Sleigh
  • ARKS Rugby Scrum Shed
    • $10,000 for a storage shed for ARKS Rugby Club's scrum machine
  • Thornlie Bowling Club Lights
    • $9,200 to upgrade the Thornlie Bowling Club's lights for night games.
  • Solar Panels for Thornlie FC
    • $7,000 for solar panels to reduce Thornlie Football Club's power bills. 
  • Kitchen for Gosnells Men's Shed
    • $6,000 to help the Gosnells Community Men's Shed build a new and improved kitchen. 
  • Equipment for Kelmscott JFC
    • $3,500 to upgrade equipment and provide portable sports shelters. 
  • Durable Goals for ACFC
    • $3,000 for new, more durable soccer goals for Armadale Christian FC
  • Kelmscott Light Horse Uniforms 
    • $3,000 for new Uniforms for the Kelmscott-Pinjarra 10th Light Horse Memorial Troop. 
  • Mary Carroll Entry Nodes
    • $2,500 for upgraded entry nodes to Mary Carroll Wetlands
