MP Kicks Goal for Local Soccer Club

02 August 2018

Many people in our community enjoy playing the world game, although due to religious commitments some are unable to participate in the traditional Sunday leagues.

The Armadale Christian Football Club is one of 12 clubs taking part in the Western Australian Christian Football League which hosts U12s through to adult men and womens teams playing games on Saturdays.

Unfortunately, the ACFC has until now been using some flimsy worn out goals for their training sessions.

Through the Burt Stronger Communities Grant Program I have been able to assist them in purchasing new portable and durable aluminium goals.

Working with dedicated Club Registrar, Elspeth and team we were able to find the product and funds to suit the Clubs needs and purchase the goals.

Club Registrar, Elspeth Marshall said:
Having the new goals has been a great boost to Club morale as players can now train with authenticity.

This, along with having gained the exclusive use of training grounds, has given us extra credibility within the community and within our competition.

We could not have achieved the purchase of the goals without the funding provided by the Burt Stronger Communities Programme, and we are extremely grateful for it, as it has strengthened our Club base and platform from which to develop for the future seasons.
