MATT KEOGH MP,FEDERAL MEMBER FOR BURT

Today I was proud to present the not-for-profit Mundarda Child Care Centre in Armadale with a grant to improve the amenity and security of the centre by funding a resurfaced car park, secure roller blinds and add to their fantastic community garden project.

Ive secured the child care centre $20,000 from the Burt Stronger Communities program to revamp the centre.

Over the last 28 years the Child Care Centre has undergone Band-Aid repair after Band-Aid repair and as a result the car park in particular became a safety hazard with pot holes crumbling in summer and filling with mud in winter hardly an ideal situation to navigate for parents with prams and kids who arent quite steady on their feet yet.

The revamped car park and installation of the roller blinds will improve access for the whole community and everyone who attends the child care centre. The community garden will add a fantastic learning and nutritional opportunity for the children who attend the centre.

The work on the Centre is just another way were building a better Burt for everyone.

The Burt Stronger Communities Program provides grants of between $2,500 and $20,000 for small capital projects that improve community participation and contribute to the vibrancy and viability of our community.

Community groups interested in a grant in the future should contact my office.
