Its been revealed hundreds of thousands of thousands of tax payer dollars has been spent advertising the Governments hypothetical infrastructure plan around the country.

The National blitz, currently covering radio, cinema and full page newspaper advertisements state that all around the nation the Australian Government is investing in and funding better transport infrastructure to cut travel times, improve safety and support jobs. Its all part of the Governments $75 billion 10 year infrastructure plan to support our nation.

The 2018/19 Federal Budget however does not outline such a plan.

According to Labors Infrastructure spokesperson Anthony Albanese following the May Budget, four out of five dollars announced for railways and roads in the Federal Budget wont be delivered for at least four years.

The Budget documents show that of $19.3 billion worth of new infrastructure projects announced, only 1 per cent of the funding will be spent in 2018-19.

Only about 20 per cent will be invested over the next four years.

In the meantime, actual Federal infrastructure investment will fall off a cliff, from $8 billion in 2017-18 to about $4.5 billion by 2021-22.

Why does our ad-man Prime Minister think its appropriate to spend tax payer dollars on promoting their empty promises?

Only a Shorten Labor Government will ensure were building a better future for Australia.
