Investing in our Community

Zoom in and explore my interactive map of Burt to find out about funding I've secured for our community.

Some of the big ticket items include:

  • Armadale Road Duplication - the construction of a two-lane second carriageway for 6.96km of Armadale Road between Anstey Road and Tapper Road. This includes upgrade works at three intersections; grade separation on Nicholson Road; construction of a principal shared path; street lighting and drainage; provision of two-metre sealed shoulders; as well as significant service relocation and associated works.
  • Armadale Road Bridge over Kwinana Freeway to ease congestion and improve access
  • Removal of the Denny Avenue Level Crossing to provide a new safe east/west connection under the existing rail line, improve traffic flow, reduce congestion and revitalise the Kelmscott town centre.
  • The Thornlie-Cockburn Link will be Perth’s first east-west cross line connection, connecting the Mandurah and Armadale/Thornlie lines and the construction of the future Nicholson Road and Ranford Road stations.

Some of the funding I've secured falls into areas that left the Burt electorate at the 2022 election. Following the 2022 election, groups in suburbs that have recently joined the electorate of Burt are now eligible to apply for funding opportunities. I can't wait for the opportunity to support worthwhile projects in our new suburbs of Maddington, Kenwick, Martin, Beckenham and Orange Grove, alongside Burt's "OG" Suburbs.
