Today I was proud to present the Armadale Soccer Club with a grant to extend the lighting at Morgan Park, Armadale so more kids can get involved in soccer in our local area.

Ive secured the soccer club $20,000 from the Burt Stronger Communities program to install additional flood lights at the oval as part of the $85,000 project, undertaken with the City of Armadale.

The Armadale Soccer Club is one of Burts major sporting clubs and with our rapidly growing community, the clubs playing areas are overstretched.

Expanding the lighting is a great step in the right direction to providing additional useable space for teams to practice and play. The increased lighting will also ensure the park is brightly lit and safer for children to be training in the evening.

The enhanced lighting will be up and running before the 2019 season kicks off.

The lighting project is just another way were building a better Burt for everyone.

The Burt Stronger Communities Program provides grants of between $2,500 and $20,000 for small capital projects that improve community participation and contribute to the vibrancy and viability of our community.
