Today the State Member for Armadale, Dr Tony Buti MLA and I joined many of my fellow former students, teachers and parents of St Francis Xavier (now just Xavier) Catholic School for their 80th Anniversary Mass and Morning Tea.
Initially established on the corner of South West Highway and Thomas Road Armadale in 1938 as a convent school, Xavier Catholic School has a proud history of being a strong community minded school and is a cornerstone of the Armadale community.
Todays celebrations were a lot of fun, sharing stories and catching up with many long-time friends and my former teachers.
St Francis Xavier Parish Priest, Fr Joe Tran brought high energy to the celebration, as well as the story of the three little pigs.
The Keogh family has been educated and part of the St. Francis Xavier School community for almost 50 of Xaviers 80 years.
Congratulations to the Principal Catherine Bauer, Board Chairman Damian Satterley, Father Joe and all the students and staff for their fantastic work organising this celebration and for continuing to build upon such an already strong community school.
