LANGFORD SCORES INDOOR NETBALL CENTRE

An Albanese Labor Government will deliver $4 million to build the Langford Indoor Netball Centre to support the next generation of athletes in our growing south-eastern suburbs.

For too long, talented netballers from our south-east have been missing out, forced to travel huge distances to compete at the elite level.

They deserve better, and an Albanese Labor Government will deliver them a better future.

An indoor facility will inspire the next generation of netball players to reach the pinnacle of sporting success and enable elite competition right here in our backyard.

To be located at Langford Park, the Centre will feature four indoor courts, new changerooms, and seating for 230 spectators.

The indoor facility will allow netball to be played year-round, day and night in all weather; and strengthen pathways to elite sport for local players by being able to host top level training and competitions.

Langford Park is home to one of Perth’s largest netball associations, the Southern Districts Netball Association (SDNA).

Year on year, netball continues to grow as a sport. It has meant SDNA has had to become increasingly creative to accommodate the number of games it runs and players it manages.

This new indoor facility will be an absolute game changer for SDNA.

This commitment, supported by the City of Gosnells, will ensure a better future for athletes in our community.

Only an Albanese Labor Government will stand up for Perth’s south-eastern suburbs.
